SWING 2010

Swing, an acronym for "St Wilfrid's Industrial and Narrow Gauge", is the Annual Model Railway Exhibition held by the South Downs Area Group of the 7mm Narrow Gauge Association.
Our second exhibition will be held on:-

St Wilfrid's Church Hall in Bognor Regis

In summary we are again aiming for around a dozen high quality layouts following the Industrial and Narrow Gauge theme in a number of scales.

We anticipate excellent trade support as at our first exhibition together with society and local railway related organisations.

Refreshments will be available and the Hall is suitable for disabled access.

We hope that those of you who visited last year will rejoin us. We know that many of you have passed on the news of how good the exhibition was so remind your friends again just in case!

Make a weekend of it. What better than to enjoy the May bank Holiday weekend on the sunny (no guarantees!) south coast within easy reach of preserved railway lines, an industrial museum, a countryside museum and much more.

We are extremely saddened to advise that one of our groups key members, John Haywood, passed away on Sunday 12th February. Despite severe health problems he remained an active modeller, served as the host for many South Downs Area Group meetings and was the inspiration behind that group's successful "SWING" exhibitions. This was far from the only area of activity for a man who lived life to the full. He will be greatly missed. You can learn more about his life and his many achievements here.
